Honda Philippines Showcases it's All New Pilot

Talking about Honda Pilot, under the hood it would be powered by a 3.5-litre i-VTEC V6 engine with Earth Dreams Technology. This engine churns out a maximum power of 286 PS along with a peak torque of 355 Nm. These figures are an addition of 5 PS and 6 Nm as compared to the Honda's mid-sized engine. Further, it would be mated with either a 6-speed automatic transmission or a 9-speed automatic transmission.

Talking about the exterior of 2016 Honda Pilot, it features the Honda's current design language along with a masculine look. The front fascia is integrated with a three-bar chrome grille along with LED headlights. While at the rear end one can find Acura-like LED taillights. Dimension wise it measures 4940 mm long, 1996 mm wide and 1773 mm tall along with an improved wheelbase of 2819 mm. Moreover, it now rides on huge 18-inch alloy wheels.

As soon as you glide inside the car, you will notice its 8-inch touchscreen which is further assisted with customizable feature setting. The older steering wheel has been replaced by a new automatic, tilt and telescopic steering wheel. Moreover. It is also fitted with 10-way power adjustable driver seat, 4-way front passenger power adjustable seat and one-touch second row seat along with an easy access to third row with automatic slide and tilt function.

The automaker has also blessed this car with an array of safety features. Its airbag mechanism consist of dual front airbags along with side and curtain airbags. Additional safety features include tire pressure monitoring system, hill start assist, vehicle stability assist, traction control, forward collision warning and road departure mitigation system. Moreover, its braking mechanism is assisted with anti-lock braking system (ABS) and brake assist (BA).

Soon to get launched, this Honda SUV is different from its predecessor in many ways. And once it gets launched in the Philippines it would rub its shoulders with Toyota Fortuner and Montero Sport.
