For those who missed it, here are some of the notable kits the Honda Prelude received from HRC:

    HRC bodykits

In a previous report, Zigwheels Philippines noted that the carmaker’s aim for developing HRC parts for the nameplate is to enhance the driving dynamics of the vehicle by leveraging the technologies and expertise amassed through racing activities.

As such, the below appointments were spotted on the Honda Prelude when it was showcased at TAS 2026:

    • Carbon fiber front lip/splitter
    • Carbon fiber side skirts
    • Carbon fiber rear bumper/diffuser
    • Carbon fiber spoiler
    • Carbon fiber slide mirror garnish
    • Honeycomb grille
    • HRC Wheels
    • Red-colored brake calipers
    • Colorful decals

    Performance figures

In stock form, the Honda Prelude —  particularly the Philippine market model — is able to put out the following performance figures:

    Overall power output (in horsepower)

    182

    Overall torque (in Newton-meters)

    315

The Honda Prelude shares the same powertrain as the current-generation Civic Type R, which is comprised of a 2.0-liter hybrid engine mated to an electronically controlled continuously variable transmission.

For quick halts and smooth deceleration, it uses Brembo x Prelude-branded, blue brake calipers on 18-inch ventilated discs at the front. The rear gets 16-inch disc brakes.

Suspension-wise, it packs dual-axis MacPherson struts at the fore with a multi-link arrangement at the back.

It is interesting to see what facets the HRC kit will improve the car’s performance. On that note,  many fans of the Honda brand and the Prelude nameplate would keep an eye on the said “show runs” where the car will participate to see just how much of a difference a set of bodykits — and an F1 Academy Head and Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team Driver Ambassador — would make.
