MANILA: The Korean brand, Hyundai has started playing the teasing game before the global launch of its new Elantra. Teasing the glimpse of new Elantra is a wise strategy to catch everyone's attention. What caught our attention is the idea of Hyundai designers of minimal design for Hyundai Elantra and we must tell that this image looks like an interior image of some German model rather than a Korean model.

If you compare the ongoing Elantra and new version, you will see that the new one has a new touchscreen for infotainment system and less of buttons and switches. The air conditioning vents are bigger and similar in style as of Sonata. The large scroll wheel to operate climate control has been replaced by an elegant pair of knobs on both sides of the center stack.

While the current model features a wraparound dashboard, the images show that the new model has a driver oriented dash. The center console is tilted towards the driver and the interior door panels get a makeover. The new Elantra gets a pocket on its arm rest in the place of a grab handle. More, some rumors suggest that the new Elantra will get two USB ports and Start/stop button as standard, while the heated front and rear seats, and Infiniti audio system as optional extras. The infotainment system will also be able to support Apple Car Play and Android Auto.

Some expected safety features include blind spot detection, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, and rear cross traffic alert. The expected engine is a 1.6-litre T-GDI turbocharged petrol mill in pair with dual clutch seven-speed tranny with expected output of 175 hp of power.
