Hyundai inaugurates its Trucks & Buses dealership in Cainta
MANILA: Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI) recently opened its newest dedicated Hyundai Trucks and Buses dealership in Cainta, Rizal (HTB-Cainta) as a show of support for the country’s effort towards transport modernization.

The ribbon-cutting for the commercial vehicle dealership was spearheaded by Hyundai’s local execs and government officials namely: HTB-Cainta General Manager Jonathan Qua, Cainta Municipal Administrator Angel Talaga, LICA Auto Group COO Doroteo Sornet, Shaw Automotive Resources, Inc. VP for Operations Nanette Alonzo, Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc.
(HARI) President & CEO Ma. Fe Perez-Agudo, DTI Undersecretary Ceferino Rodolfo, HARI Chairman Edward S. Go, and HMC CV Europe & Asia Pacific Team Leader Man Yong Han. The event was also attended by local business owners and about 20 major transport group leaders who are at one with the government’s effort to modernize our public transport system to make it more efficient, safe, and comfortable for the riding public.

Felix “Bingo” Limcaoco, president and CEO of the LICA Group of Companies and HTB-Cainta dealer principal said during his speech, “We bet big on Cainta. The East (of the Metro) has grown tremendously for industry and transportation…. We now have a hub for Hyundai (commercial vehicles) in the East, completely represented in Sales and Parts in one facility, supportive of the government’s efforts to make sure that the Filipino transport sector is provided the best products.”
HARI President and CEO Ma. Fe Perez-Agudo for her part said that Cainta is the perfect home for the Trucks & Busses hub of Hyundai, “Hyundai commercial vehicles are here to stay, housed in this brand new, full-service dealership, poised to advance every enterprise in Cainta, in Rizal province, and all the way to the fast-growing CALABARZON area.”
But it was during the groundbreaking of HTB-Cainta, where Perez-Agudo affirmed that the dedicated commercial vehicle dealership is part of the ‘Gusto Revolution’ saying, that the hub is “complementing our strong passenger car business with the promising commercial vehicle business, let us continue to redefine the face of mobility, in and from Cainta, with HTBC as Hyundai’s standard-bearer! Gusto Natin. Kaya Natin. Sama Tayo sa magandang kinabukasan ng Cainta.”

The ‘Gusto Ko, Kaya Ko, Sama Tayo’ Campaign is Hyundai Philippines’ national brand marketing campaign “inspired, conceived, and driven by the Filipino customer’s dreams, needs, and values, crowning Hyundai’s 16 years as the Filipino’s lifetime partner in mobility and beyond.”
And as proof of the success of the “Gusto Ko, Kaya Ko, Sama Tayo” Campaign, HTB Cainta received orders for 1,200 units of its H-100 Modern Jeepney Class 1, HD505 Modern Jeepney Class 2, and Hyundai Modern Jeepney Class 3, collectively. And these are just the initial orders. More would come as other transport cooperatives look to Hyundai to upgrade their units to comply with the Department of Transportation’s PUV Modernization Program.

Besides the grand opening of the Hyundai Trucks and Buses dealership, the Cainta hub was also the venue for the three-day Negoshow One expo. The Negoshow One expo is patterned after the Hyundai Motor Company’s global mobility expos, where the Korean automotive manufacturer showcases its lineup of commercial-use vehicles and give industry insider a sneak peek on up and coming trends in the transport and mobility front.
