“With Ioniq 6 N, Hyundai N aims to elevate its offerings, enticing drivers with electric powertrains that offer high-performance enthusiasts a thrilling new avenue to electrify their passion both on the road and the track,” Hyundai Motor Company President and Chief Executive Officer Jose Munoz said.

    High-performance powertrain

Powering the Hyundai Ioniq 6 N is a high-performance powertrain with two electric motors producing the below numbers:

Front motor output (in horsepower [hp>)

    222

    Rear motor output (in hp)

    377

    Maximum total output (in hp)

    641

    Maximum torque (in Newton-meters)

    770

Thanks to the above figures, the Hyundai Ioniq 6 N is able to zoom from a standstill to 100 kilometers per hour (kph) in just 3.2 seconds. Speed peaks at 257 kph.

Ensuring the car’s battery can meet the demands of modern high-performance driving, Hyundai revamped its management system to adapt to a wide range of track driving conditions — like drag, sprint, or endurance.

According to the carmaker, the integration of battery conditioning functions leads to higher and long-lasting performance.

    Aerodynamics, suspension

Hyundai also noted that the Ioniq 6 N benefits from aerodynamic-focused, motorsport-inspired appointments like its swan neck rear wing and widened fenders.

The aforementioned not only accentuates its circuit-ready character but also enhances stability during high-speed cornering.

Further, it gets a fully redesigned suspension geometry and a re-engineered chassis for improved handling precision and road holding.

With a lowered roll center, the Hyundai Ioniq 6 N is said to deliver greater high-speed stability and improved cornering grip.

Finally, the car gets new stroke-sensing electronically-controlled suspension dampers. Thanks to its sensors, the system allows for a wide range of damping force adjustments to suit varying conditions.

“Ioniq 6 N combines formidable power, sophisticated battery management, aerodynamic mastery and advanced suspension systems to deliver a compelling blend of speed, stability and comfort, setting new benchmarks in modern automotive engineering,” Hyundai Motor Company Executive Vice President and Head of Vehicle Development Tech Unit Manfred Harrer commented.

    Advanced vehicle control

The Hyundai Ioniq 6 N also packs a suite of advanced vehicle control systems, aimed at enhancing every aspect of driver interaction.

First of which is the N e-Shift, an innovative shift control system that simulates close gear ratios to heighten responsiveness and strengthen the driver’s connection to the car.

The Hyundai N e-Shift in the Hyundai Ioniq 6 N is compatible with the car’s key performance features such as the N Launch Control, N Drift Optimizer, N Grin Boost, and N Torque Distribution.

Adding to the experience is the N Track Manager, which helps empower drivers to tailor and analyze their on-track performance.

The abovementioned intelligent feature allows owners to create custom tracks, monitor speed data, and evaluate performance through real-time ghost car visuals and detailed lap time analysis.

Rounding up its vehicle control features is the N Active Sound + and N Ambient Shift Light, Hyundai Ioniq 6 Nwhich enhances the driver’s overall experience by delivering immersive sound and lighting.

    Optional performance parts

At the Goodwood Festival of Speed, Hyundai also showcased a slew of optional performance parts for the Ioniq 6 N.
