Laguluan Tree Park: Ioniq Forest Project
According to HMPH, its Laguluan Tree Park: Ioniq Forest Project targets to produce, plant, and nurture 3,000 native timber seedlings, contributing to long-term forest restoration and enhancing ecological resilience in the area.
Further, the said project will also cater to the development of a tree park with facilities for ecotourism and environmental education. As such, it looks to create opportunities for recreation, learning, and greater appreciation of local biodiversity — all while supporting long-term conservation efforts.
Over 4,000 residents of Barangay Prenza, Lian, Batangas, are expected to benefit from the Laguluan Tree Park: Ioniq Forest Project.
Beyond environmental restoration, the project will empower 35 partner farmers and strengthen the capacity of the Altura Spring Farmers Irrigators Association Incorporated, creating livelihood opportunities while promoting sustainable land management practices.
HMPH noted that the initiative is fully supported by key government stakeholders, including the Provincial Local Government Unit of Batangas through the Provincial Government Environment and Natural Resources Office, and the Municipal Local Government Unit of Lian, through the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office.
