Jimnyfest set to return in 2025

MANILA: Suzuki Philippines (SPH) has revealed its plan to help organize the return of the largest gathering of Jimny units in the country. 

For those unfamiliar, the event is dubbed the Jimnyfest, and it is spearheaded by The Jimny Hub — a one-stop aftermarket shop for all things Jimny. The aforementioned was announced at the recently concluded 4x4 Streetshow Garage, which was likewise organized by The Jimny Hub in partnership with SPH. 

For now, no specific details have been revealed by the Japanese marque, but the upcoming Jimnyfest will be held in Nueva Ejija sometime in February 2025. It is likewise a part of the said province’s current line of tourism projects. 

To note, the last Jimnyfest was held back on April 21-23, 2023. The event saw over 110 examples of the three-door Jimny in attendance. 

Apart from the exciting announcement from SPH, the 4x4 Streeshow Garage held on August 31, 2024, at Metrotest Ortigas, also saw the 9th anniversary of the Rugged Rigs Performance off-road modification parts distributor. The car show also had a contest for Suzuki Jimny owners to highlight their personalized rigs, which range from overland builds to full-on rock crawling and mudslinging machines. 

Being a lifestyle-oriented event,  4x4 Streetshow Garage also hosted numerous outdoor brands. Included were various companies promoting 4x4 essentials, high-performance parts, camping gear, and other types of merchandise. 

SPH’s latest version of its iconic small off-roader is the Jimny 5-Door. It was launched earlier this year with a price ranging from P1.558 million up to P1.698 million. 

Propelling the Jimny 5-Door is a 1.5-liter inline-4 gasoline engine capable of producing up to 101 horsepower and 130 Newton-meters of torque. Depending on the trim, the said model uses a five-speed automatic or a five-speed manual gearbox.
