The program spans four months — the first two months dedicated to instructor-based training and the other two, on-the-job training. In a statement, Kia Philippines shared that the aforementioned group of mechanics are now equipped with world-class skills that can open pathways to international careers.
According to the ACMobility-led automotive distributor, the top cadets have the opportunity to compete at the 12th Kia World Skills Cup that will take place next year in Seoul, South Korea.

“Through the KTBC program, we’re creating pathways for Filipino technicians to grow their careers locally and globally. This initiative provides them with the essential skills to thrive in an ever-evolving automotive industry and prepares them for leadership roles within Kia’s global network," Kia Philippines Aftersales Director Rommel Ramos was quoted as saying.
Launched in September 2024, the boot camp (conducted at the Kia Training Center in Carmona, Cavite in partnership with Don Bosco Makati and Batangas State University) gives participants advanced training in preventive maintenance, repairs, diagnostics, and servicing of fuel-powered vehicles, hybrids, and electric vehicles (EV).

“KTBC is an investment in the future of Kia’s service excellence in the Philippines. As we continue to redefine mobility for Filipino families, we are empowering a new generation of technicians to deliver world-class service with precision, care, and innovation. Through KTBC, we are strengthening Kia’s promise of a better, smarter, and more connected future for every customer we serve,” Ramos noted.
