To note, this new concept vehicle stands in contrast to previous nameplates that bore the “LS” badge. Instead, it comes in the form of a large six-wheeled van, since the name now stands for “Luxury Space,” instead of the previous “Luxury Sedan.”
For reference, here are the five Lexus art installations currently on display at the 2026 Milan Design Week:
- Installation SPACE - An immersive experience inspired by the LS Concept vehicle that showcases a 360-degree visual feast combined with lighting and sound.
- Visible Invisible - A study in making what is usually unseen, such as the passage of time, visible via the careful implementation of shifting light. The said display was heavily inspired by the traditional tea room - a quintessentially Japanese cultural experience.
- Wearable Space - An art display that shows that the human body can also generate space, not just occupy it.
- A Moving Sanctuary - A cocoon-like art structure that envisions the interior of a car as more than just somewhere one sits in, and instead shows how it could be suitable for “stillness and reflection.”
- The Crafted Cosmos - This display showcases the prowess of Japanese artisans by using microscopic details that transform light and shadows into a visual spectacle.
Lexus LS Concept
Notably, the Lexus LS Concept was first seen in the metal by Zigwheels Philippines at the 2025 Japan Mobility Show.
Style-wise, the concept car comes off as a more futuristic take on the Lexus LM's design. It does, however, get a more slanted windshield, combined with a more intricately designed LED daytime running lights and headlamps.
Viewed from the side, the model features aerodynamic front wheels that appear larger than its four rear wheels. The company, however, did not disclose the model’s drivetrain layout, but the six-wheel layout does hint at something more than just front- or rear wheel drive.
