Mazda CX-3 Showcased @ GIIAS 2016

MANILA: It has been quite some time since Mazda announced to bring its compact SUV CX-3 in the market. Though this drive was earlier rumored to arrive in the Philippines but now it is seen during the GIIAS 2016 standing tall and competing with Honda HR-V. So, while this Mazda kid is still awaited in our country, the neighboring country Indonesia has already received confirmation from the manufacturer about the intention of launching it really soon. According to the sources, Mazda Indonesia is receiving good visitors and queries for the new Mazda CX-3. The company revealed that the new Mazda crossover is based on the Mazda2 concept and was even on the list of nominees for the 'World Car Design of the Year 2016'.

The absolutely stunning cross has carried the Mazda signature global design language – KODO design at its exterior which makes it look pretty similar to that of Mazda CX-5. The KODO design language and proportionate dimensions ensure to deliver a strong character to this stylish crossover along with other attractive features. With its large trapezoidal front grille, it allows smooth airflow and accentuates the efficiency of the engine. The interior of this Mazda drive is pretty decorative, luxurious and comfortable. The cabin has been given extreme detailing which can be felt with the wrapping material and button layout. The boot allowed in this drive is 350 litres which can be expanded up to 1260 litres by split folding the rear seats to flat. Other than these features, the cabin is well packed with various other comforting and convenience amenities.

This Mazda drive takes its power from the SKYACTIV-G 2.0-litre power unit which comes in 2 different output levels worth 120 PS and 150 PS respectively. The new Mazda CX-3 would be offered in 2WD and 4WD drive layouts for the Indonesian market and the same is expected to arrive for the Philippines automotive market. This crossover was launched in Malaysia in January 2016 and since then there were speculations of its arrival in the Philippines but the company has given priority to Indonesia for some unknown reasons. With the arrival at the GIIAS 2016, the hope of showcasing this Mazda baby at the PIMS 2016 is getting stronger every day and seems like the wait is almost over. Hope this speculation is true and we Filipinos soon receive a confirmation of its showcase in the Philippines!
