Mercedes-Maybach unveils limited-edition, Haute Couture-inspired S-Class Haute Voiture

MANILA: Mercedes-Maybach debuted the limited-edition Mercedes-Maybach S-Class Haute Voiture on December 12 at an event in Dubai, fusing the aesthetics introduced earlier this year with new meticulous design elements that enrich the customer experience. Following a curated fashion show by local couture designer Atelier Zuhra, the vehicle was unveiled in front of VIP guests, media, and influencers.

“The intricate features and exclusive design elements are what makes the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class Haute Voiture one of the most extravagant models we ever created – it represents Sophisticated Luxury in its purest form. Our customers have access to the most aspirational lifestyle, so we wanted to reflect this through creating something utterly desirable and using components never before seen on a Mercedes-Maybach,” Mercedes-Benz Group AG Chief Design Officer Gorden Wagener stated.

Exceptional craftsmanship, premium materials, and intricate details come together to produce a new level of exclusivity that is reminiscent of a moving work of art. Each unit will have a badge in the center console identifying its specific number within the limited run of 150. The vehicle was created by Mercedes-Benz's most experienced customization and craftsmanship team at the Manufaktur in Sindelfingen, Germany.

The limited special edition Mercedes-Maybach S 680 offers a rich sensory experience and exudes an ultimate elegance consistent with the brand's Sophisticated Luxury philosophy.

The exterior of the series car is distinguished by an unique two-tone paint finish, in keeping with the Concept Haute Voiture: a mix of metallic nautical blue on top, with a delicate shimmering rose tone in the lower section, and nautical blue metallic rims. The inclusion of surround illumination with animated projection adds another interesting touch. When the doors open, animated Mercedes-Benz or Mercedes-Maybach patterns illuminate the front and rear entry areas stylishly using LCD technology.

The interior of the vehicle seamlessly reflects the exterior, thanks to the extensive use of rose gold and dark nautical blue accents, as well as crystal and glossy opal white elements. The interior flawlessly highlights its Haute Couture inspiration and displays the most exquisite attention to detail. It  is covered in a high-end, fashion-inspired boucle fabric in shades of blue, beige, rose gold, and gold. The seat coverings and cushions also have further delicate features. Crystal white leather accents surround the passengers in the consoles, doors, and scatter cushions. Mohair and linen are used to make the floor mats. Champagne flutes in a rose gold color and a Haute Voiture logo on the door panel perfectly complement the display in the spacious rear. The blue tone leather piping inside the consoles is another unique feature of the series car.

The MBUX infotainment system sees how luxuriously exclusive the interior is. The catwalk atmosphere is emphasized by dazzling rose gold embellishments and dazzling clouds. The driver is greeted by a magnolia blossom and shimmering particles in the profile selection menu. 12 different avatars are finely dressed with elegant accessories, such as dinner jackets, tailcoats, or evening gowns.

The Mercedes-Maybach S-Class Haute Voiture will come with a scaled model, a key ring, and a handmade gift box with its badge number to complete the Maybach experience. Customers will also receive an exclusive car cover bearing the Maybach and Haute Voiture logos.

The series car will be sold alongside a bag collection in early 2023 at Maybach Icons of Luxury physical and online stores. Items will be made of specific materials used in the car's interior and will be available in a limited number of designs and sizes.
