MIAS 2025: Chery Auto PH to introduce all-new Tiggo Cross

MANILA: Chery Auto Philippines (CAP) will formally reveal the all-new Tiggo Cross to the local market next week.

In a statement, the United Asia Automotive Group Incorporated-led automotive distributor shared that the upcoming model shall be unveiled at the Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) 2025, which is set on April 10-13 at the World Trade Center Metro Manila in Pasay City.

Per CAP, the aforementioned model will have a sub-P1 million pricing and is expected to be a “true game-changer” in the local market.

While waiting for the official specifications to be released, here are some bits of information about the model as seen in neighboring country Indonesia.

Possible specifications

The Indonesia-retailed Chery Tiggo Cross has the following measurements:

Its front fascia carries the Tiger Claw LED headlamps that flank the warp speed grille in an octagon housing. This theme matches the Tiger Stripes tail lamps that are connected by a light bar donning the “CHERY” branding. It sits on 16- 17-inch wheels (depending on the trim).

Inside, the crossover features a black motif and is packed with amenities such as:

• Two 10-.25-inch displays (cluster gauge and infotainment panel)
• Six-speaker configuration
• Multi-color ambient lighting
• Air-conditioning system with PM 2.5 filter and second-row vents
• Leather-covered multi-function steering wheel
• 360-degree view camera
• Moon roof
• Wireless Android Auto and Apple Carplay connectivity

Powering the Chery Tiggo Cross is a 1.5-liter normally-aspirated gasoline mill that can give a churn of:

The said mill is mated to a continuous variable transmission. Its stopping power is facilitated by the disc brakes with auto hold and electronic parking brake systems.

Other attractions

Aside from the launch of the all-new Chery Tiggo Cross, CAP will also preview Tiggo Grand Tour MPV and Tiggo ReV. While the three vehicles will be up for test drives during the four-day motoring event, CAP has yet to announce the two models’ availability in the country.

In addition, the Chery Tiggo Crossovers volleyball team will have a special meet-and-greet on April 12 for its fans and attendees.
