Mitsubishi e-Evolution graces the 2018 PIMS

MANILA: Mitsubishi has showcased its futuristic-looking, concept e-Evolution at the ongoing Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS). This futuristic SUV concept was first unveiled at the 2017 Tokyo Motor Show. With this, Mitsubishi has tried to showcase its EV technology ingenuity.

The concept incorporates new EV technology and unique design that are specially made for the future. E-Evolution is built upon the success of its turbocharged predecessors by combining high-performance with EV efficiency.

Dynamic Shield design, Mitsubishi’s signature design philosophy gets a major redesign with the e-Evolution concept. Dominating front grill makes a huge part of the front fascia which is flanked by tapered LED daytime running lights on either side. A distinct and advanced appearance is provided by the floating roofline and the burly alloy wheels. Futuristic look is completed by the Y-shaped taillights, a black diffuser, and a rakish back window.

Being a futuristic EV concept, the interior also gets its share of advanced gadgetry like the exterior. Acting as a multimedia system and for onboard navigation, the huge monitor takes the centre stage to deliver a high-tech riding experience. Also placed in the centre is the onboard climate control system that is at a comfortable reach and features digital display.

And to provide the necessary information and control to the driver is a three-pod digital console complemented by a unique U-shaped steering wheel.

Powering this unique concept is a triple electric motor system. The system consists of an individual motor that drives both the front wheels, while the remaining two motors powers each of the two rear wheels. Better power delivery and the extra grip is provided by this dual-motor active yaw control (AYC) with torque vectoring. Additional power and grip are ensured to all four wheels, thanks to Mitsubishi’s Super All-Wheel Control (S-AWC) dynamic control system.

Thanks to multiple bunches of sensors placed around the car it gets a helping hand from artificial intelligence as well. The AI is so intelligent that it can automatically adjust the power depending on road conditions. To make things more smooth, it can also adapt itself to the driver’s driving style. In all Mitsubishi e-Evolution is the future of the EV Evolution.
