Mitsubishi to launch 5 ventures at JMS Bizweek 2024

MANILA: Mitsubishi is set to showcase a total of five innovative business ventures at the upcoming Japan Mobility Show Bizweek 2024. 

In a nutshell, all five are related to the Japanese car brand’s mobility efforts, ranging from electric vehicles (EV), EV charging services, and even environmentally-friendly outdoor lifestyles. 

Evnion

First off is Evnion Incorporated, which was formed via a three-way partnership between Mitsubishi Motors, Mitsubishi Corporation, and Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation. It provides an array of services to the brand’s clients who are transitioning from traditional vehicles to the brand’s lineup of electric-powered passenger and commercial vehicles. 

Noyama

Noyama Incorporated stands as a rather unique business for Mitsubishi as it is primarily concerned with equipping clients with the knowledge to become outdoor adventurers.

Established together with Hakuhodo Incorporation, the said business offers survival skills training, plus it also functions as a one-stop rental shop for plug-in hybrid vehicles (PHEV), outdoor gear, and other electrical appliances. 

Smart charging service

The Smart charging service is a partnership between Mitsubishi Motors, MC Retail Energy Corporation Limited, Mitsubishi Corporation, and Kaluza Japan Corporation.

Per its name, it offers a network of EV charging stations, which can be booked in advance via a smartphone app. 

Autonomous street lighting system

Also exhibited at the upcoming Japan Mobility Show Bizweek 2024 is a planned network of autonomous street lights. The initiative was developed jointly with Mirai-Labo Corporation Limited, and it mainly uses solar power, which is stored in used Outlander PHEV batteries. 

EV Behavior Analysis Report

Together with Zenrin Corporation Limited, Mitsubishi’s EV Behavior Analysis Report is a data-collecting and visualization service focusing on EV units. Per the marque, it may help city developers to identify good locations for EV charging stations. 

To note, all five businesses mentioned above are intended for the Japanese market. All five likewise contribute towards Mitsubishi’s overarching goal of creating a carbon-neutral society, which depends on sustainable forms of mobility. 

For those curious, the Japan Mobility Show Bizweek 2024 will be held at the Makuhari Messe In China, Japan. It is a four-day event spanning October 15-18, 2024.
