Mitsubishi Xforce wins VMARK Vietnam Design Award 2023

MANILA: The all-new Mitsubishi Xforce bagged the gold award in the VMARK Vietnam Design Award 2023 under the Best Transportation Design category.

30 internationally renowned design experts evaluated design projects around the world based on their innovation, green design, identity, functionality, and community. This year, only 16 design projects received the gold award out of 700 entries.

This recognition for the all-new Xforce compact sports utility vehicle (SUV) marks the first time for Mitsubishi to win this award.

Based on the Silky and Solid design concept, the Xforce combines elegance and ruggedness, creating a styling that establishes a dominating presence on the road. The upper half of the body exudes an airy silkiness, while the lower part of the body adopts the robust and muscular proportions of an SUV.

The Xforce measures 4,390 millimeters (mm) long, 1,810 mm wide, and 1,660 mm tall. It has a 222 mm ground clearance and 18-inch wheels.

The front grille, which represents the performance of the engine, is shielded by three-dimensionally integrated left and right bumpers to produce a dynamic front face with a sense of depth. The LED daytime running lights combine an L-shape with narrowed accents to radiate light in an iconic T shape. This T-shaped form is also applied on the LED tail lights to emphasize the width of the rear.

On the inside, the Mitsubishi Xforce is equipped with a large monolithic display panel that integrates a 12.3-inch display audio and a digital driver display.

"We are honored that the Xforce has been recognized with a VMARK Vietnam Design Award, which has been increasing its presence in recent years. The all-new Xforce is set to launch in Vietnam early next year, so we will further promote its appeal to even more customers, with this award as encouragement," Mitsubishi Motors Corporation Program Design Director Naoki Akita stated.

Unveiled last August at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Motor Show, the Xforce is a five-seater vehicle that was specially designed for Southeast Asian nations. According to Mitsubishi, the Xforce will be rolled out in the Philippines, Vietnam, South Asia, the Middle East, Latin America, and Africa soon.
