New Lexus GX 460 now available in PH with a starting price of Php 5.898 million

MANILA: If you want to treat yourself to a fine ride this Christmas or want to upgrade your family car, a suitable candidate has just arrived. It is the new 2020 Lexus GX 460. First unveiled last June, Lexus Manila Inc. quietly brought the new GX 460 to the Philippines shores without much funfair.

What’s nice about the Lexus’ mid-size SUV is staying true to its heritage by using body-on-frame instead of the more common unibody crossovers. In fact, only the GX 460 is using the truck-like construction practice to highlight its off-road capabilities while at the same time emphasizing comfort,

safety, and luxury. Under the hood is a V8 Four Cam 32-Valve Dual VVT-I with EGR engine capable of delivering 292 hp of maximum power at 5,500 rpm and 438 Nm of peak torque at 3,500 rpm. The engine is complemented by a full-time 4WD drive train and 6-speed automatic transmission.

The exterior features a massive front grille that occupies most of the front façade, new triple-beam LED headlights, step boards for easy entry and exit, a set of 18-inch aluminum wheels, roof rail, and rear spoiler to complete the SUV look. Inside is where we get most of our excitement from.

The Lexus GX 460 specs sheet boasts new interior details such as Gray Sapele wood with aluminum trim for Premium and Luxury models, a three-spoke multi-function steering wheel, a revised digital cluster that has fully illuminated needles for improve meter clarity, 17 speakers, and a center-mounted 8-inch infotainment display.

The GX 460 sits seven passengers comfortably while providing ample head and legroom. The seats can be folded in different configurations depending on your cargo and passenger needs.

In terms of safety and driving assist features, the new GX 460 comes standard with anti-lock braking system with brake assist, Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD), Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Active Traction Control System (A-TRC), AI-Shift control, multi-terrain select that adjusts your torque and braking depending on the terrain, tire pressure alert, 10 SRS airbags, cruise control, rain-sensing wipers, and 360 panoramic view monitor to guide you when parking.

The 2020 Lexus GX 460 is now available for viewing and test drive. The GX 460 price starts at Php 5.898 million.
