The result is a sporty quartz watch that offers good wrist presence and a variety of functional appointments.
Below are some of its features:
Original NISMO logo
Fans of Nissan’s motorsport arm will be treated to the original rendition of the NISMO logo.
Seated between the 12 o’clock batons and the “EDIFICE CASIO” writings on the dial, the racing emblem — inspired by the illuminated car numbers seen during the night stages of endurance races — is fitted with a luminescent finish that glows in the dark.
More than just an easter egg, the original NISMO logo is said to honor “a symbol of racing glory passed down over four decades.”
Historic tri-color design
The Casio Edifice ECB-S10NIS-7A is swathed in a tri-color finish, said to have been inspired by the aforementioned original NISMO logo.
Sporting red, blue, and white hues, the timepiece harks back to legendary works machines like the R91CP, which claimed the first victory for a Japanese car at the 24 Hours of Daytona in 1992.
“The color scheme brings back the bold presence NISMO made known worldwide,” Casio said.
Memorial band
The Casio Edifice ECB-S10NIS-7A is equipped with a leather strap that is printed with the chassis codes of past title-winning race cars from 1984 to 1997. The said numbers are listed below:
- DR30
- R31
- R32
- R33
- R90CP
- R91CP
- R92CP
At the tip of the leather band is a special design inspired by the koinobori carp streamer — a fan-favorite motif shown at May races in Japan.
The tri-color strap also draws inspiration from racing suits worn in the 1980s, which featured the original NISMO logo.
Nissan Skyline tribute
Per the Tokyo-headquartered watch brand, a subtle detail serves as a tribute to the legendary R32 Nissan Skyline GT-R. The said easter egg can be seen on the “SAPPHIRE” wording on the three o’clock side of the dial in yellow with blue lettering.
The stylized color and font recall the Nissan Calsonic Skyline’s windshield decal — capturing the spirit of the original machine.
Other notable features
Aside from the noticeable appointments, the Casio Edifice ECB-S10NIS-7A has the following features:
- Case back engraved with the original NISMO logo
- Special packaging featuring an original design
- Scratch-resistant, highly transparent sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating

“NISMO, inheriting Nissan’s motorsport tradition dating back to 1936, was established in 1984. Through domestic and international racing activities, high-performance models, and the development of customization parts, it offers the joy and excitement of driving while striving to enhance the value of the ‘NISMO’ brand,” Casio wrote on its website.
“Casio has been a long-time supporter, since 2003, and EDIFICE has supported the team’s #23 racing car since 2021,” it added.
Other Nissan collaborations
Recently, Nissan also worked with Seiko to release three timepieces inspired by the Datsun 240Z.
The released models are the Seiko SPB517, SRQ057, and SSC957. All fall in the Japanese watch marque’s Prospex line — believed to be a word play between “professional” and “specification” — within the Speedtimer family.
The Seiko SPB517 is powered by the company’s Caliber 6R55 movement and features a logo with a red circle and blue rectangle with white Datsun lettering. On the other hand, the SRQ057 uses the Caliber 8R48 to run its mechanical chronograph and boasts the Datsun name in cursive script. Finally, the SSC957 packs the solar V192 chronograph movement and gets the Datsun name in block letters.
“Today, three limited-edition watches drawing on a range of Seiko technologies join the Speedtimer series, paying homage to the shared legacy of the Datsun 240Z and Seiko and their advancements in the late 1960s and early 1970s. An additional three watches join the main Prospex Speedtimer series, adding to the automotive spirit of a series built for speed and precision,” Seiko wrote in a press release.
