PH-spec Geely EX5 EM-i to come in 2 trims; pricing starts at P1.288M

MANILA: The Geely EX5 EM-i that will be sold in the Philippines will be offered in two trims, with the prices starting at P1.288 million.

In a statement, Geely Motor Philippines (GMP) shared that the plug-in hybrid sport utility vehicle will be offered in Pro and Max variants—the former being the base-level option and the latter as the higher-spec version. 

The pricing of the two Geely EX-5 EM-i variations are stated in the table below:

Following this announcement, GMP also noted that it is now accepting pre-orders for the model. The company guaranteed that early customers are eligible for priority allocation.

“Reservations and ownership support will be handled through Geely’s authorized dealership network nationwide. After-sales servicing and parts support for the EX5 EM-i will be managed through the same authorized network,” the brand’s local arm noted.

Per GMP, the Geely EX5 EM-i combines electric drive with a gasoline engine that has the capacity to do 41.67 kilometers per liter hybrid consumption (2.4-liter per 100 kilometers based on Worldwide Harmonized Light-Duty Vehicles Test Procedure standards). With a fully-charged battery and a tank full of gas, the range can go more than 100 kilometers.

Meanwhile, the energy bank can be juiced up from 30 to 80 percent in as fast as 20 minutes.

Lastly, GMP added that it created four limited-time offers for the Geely EX5 EM-i, which will run on separate schedules and can be stacked. They are the:

• Reserve and Save (March 1-27, 2026): where a P1,000-reservation comes with a P10,000 discount
• Born Super Hybrid (March 1-May 31, 2026): offers P50,000-price cut
• Refer and Earn (March 3-May 31, 2026): both the referrer and referred buyer will receive P4,000 in periodic maintenance service vouchers (per successful referral)
• EX5 EM-i Nubia Raffle (March 5-April 30, 2026) customers who purchase the vehicle will have a chance to win one of 20 ZTE Nubia Neo 5 smartphones).

To recall, the initial Geely EX5 EM-i units have arrived in the  country last January.

Notably, the said model, known as the Geely Starray EM-i in other markets, scored a Guinness World Record title for the “Lowest fuel consumption driving the Sydney–Melbourne Coastal Drive by a plug-in hybrid powered production sport utility vehicle.”
