MANILA: Porsche has managed to sell a total of 146,391 vehicles globally for the first half of 2025 (H1), and according to the Stuttgart-based brand, 36.1 percent of the said sales figure consists of electrified models.

The best-selling Porsche model globally for the first half of 2025 is the Macan.In further breaking it down, 23.5 percent were fully electric models, while 12.6 percent were plug-in hybrids. Within the German car maker’s lineup, the Macan, including its all-electric variants, took the lead as the brand’s global market leader for the first six months of the year with 45,137 units sold. The model is followed by the 911 with 25,608 units sold globally within the same timeframe.
“The fully electric Macan is making a significant contribution to our proportion of electrified cars,” Board Member for Sales and Marketing at Porche AG Matthias Becker said.
“Overall, we have succeeded in keeping sales volumes stable and balanced across the sales regions despite ongoing geopolitical challenges. Our customers continue to place great value on individualised vehicles, and we will continue to expand our offering in this area,” Becker added.
From the said report shared by Porsche, it was likewise noted that emerging markets, which include the Philippines, saw 30,158 units sold from January-June 2025 - a 10 percent increase from H1 2024.
North America, however, remains the top sales region, with 43,577 vehicle deliveries—a 10 percent increase compared to the same period in 2024.

Porsche Macan in the Philippines
Notably, the latest electric vehicle (EV) introduced by Porsche for the Philippine market is the Macan EV. It was launched in the local market in January 2025 with two trims: the Macan Turbo and the Macan 4.
Propelling the said model are two permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSM) that supply power to all four of the vehicle’s wheels. In its most powerful form as the Macan Turbo, it can generate up to 639 horsepower and 1,130 Newton-meters of torque. It also boasts an all-electric range of 591-613 kilometers, depending on the trim.
