Radar EV PH enjoys 155% growth in June 2026

MANILA: UAAGI Auto Group sold 112 Radar RD6 units (globally known as the Riddara RD6) in the Philippines last month, more than doubling its May 2026 sales of 44 units.

In a statement, the brand's local distributor said the performance "highlights a growing segment of the market opting for electric mobility in the pickup truck category, traditionally dominated by internal combustion engines."

With a starting price of P1.438 million for the RD6 Econ 2WD, the Radar RD6 undercuts many mid- to high-tier diesel models in the segment while offering a suite of advanced features and capabilities.

Vehicle specifications

Unlike conventional pickups that use a body-on-frame platform, the model is built on a dedicated electric unibody architecture. It is paired with an independent multi-link rear suspension, providing ride comfort akin to that of a passenger vehicle while retaining its utilitarian capability.

The RD6 4WD variant is powered by dual electric motors producing 381 horsepower and 485 Newton-meters of torque, enabling it to sprint from 0-100 kilometers per hour in less than six seconds.

With battery options of up to 73 kilowatt-hours, the Radar RD6 delivers an all-electric driving range of up to 443 kilometers based on the New European Driving Cycle (NEDC). Meanwhile, the RD6 EM-P 4WD plug-in hybrid offers a combined driving range of more than 1,000 kilometers.

The Radar RD6 also features vehicle-to-load (V2L) capability. Equipped with power outlets in both the cabin and cargo bed, it can supply up to 3.5 kilowatts of electricity, effectively turning the pickup into a mobile power source. This feature can power tools at remote job sites, appliances during camping trips, or serve as backup power during outages.

Additionally, the RD6 Econ has a payload capacity of up to one ton, while the RD6 EM-P Elite 4WD can carry up to 800 kilograms. The pickup also boasts an 815-millimeter wading depth.

According to UAAGI, the Radar RD6 also offers significantly lower operating costs. The RD6 Econ costs as little as P2.64 per kilometer to operate and has an estimated preventive maintenance cost of only P8 per day, allowing owners to save up to 84 percent over three years compared to a diesel-powered pickup.

Meanwhile, the RD6 EM-P Elite 4WD has operating costs of around P3.86 per kilometer, with an estimated preventive maintenance cost of just P29 per day, translating to savings of at least 76 percent compared to a diesel-powered pickup.

Nationwide support

The Radar RD6 comes with a comprehensive five-year or 150,000-kilometer bumper-to-bumper warranty, as well as an eight-year or 200,000-kilometer high-voltage battery warranty. It is also backed by UAAGI's nationwide dealer network and aftersales support.

The Radar RD6 is now available for viewing and reservations at authorized dealerships nationwide.
