In 9 photos: Toyota Motor PH unveils all-new Hilux, pre-order period starts today

MANILA: Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) has officially unveiled the ninth-generation Hilux in the country.

Unveiled at the ongoing 10th Philippine International Motor Show, the much-awaited pick-up truck has evolved into its most advanced form yet, as it is offered in both internal combustion engine (ICE) and battery electric vehicle (BEV) options. 

In a statement, TMP explained that this boosts its multi-pathway strategy toward carbon neutrality.

“Our multi-pathway approach is about giving customers the freedom to choose what car they want based on their lifestyle and needs. With the all-new Hilux, customers can experience the signature capability and utility of the Hilux through either through the improved ICE variant or the new BEV variant,” TMP First Vice President for Vehicle Sales Operations Elijah Sue Marcial was quoted as saying.

Here’s what the all-new Toyota Hilux offers to Filipino consumers.

Exterior

Sporting the new Cyber Sumo design language, the all-new Hilux features modern and tough aesthetics. The sharp body lines all around complement the aggressive front and rear fascia, highlighted by the sleek headlamps and a honeycomb grille. To differentiate them from the other trims, the BEV option wears a distinct solid, closed-off  grille while the Conquest option is outfitted with a rugged-style front bumper. 

Additionally, the model has a new rear deck step for easy ingress and egress to and from the truck bed. 

Interior

Inside, the all-new Toyota Hilux has a futuristic, premium design with a high-tech layout that provides an elevated driving environment for both work and leisure.

The model’s upper variations now have electric power steering and updated audio displays and digital instrument clusters. 

All Toyota Hilux variants are equipped with advanced remote connectivity capabilities via the Next Generation myToyota Connect featuring Toyota Remote functions.

TMP noted that the ICE models can be had in Ash, Attitude Black Mica, Emotional Red II, Super White II, and Silver Metallic while BEV trim will be available solely in Platinum White Pearl Mica.
