Reggie Purugganan grabs the title of Subaru Palm Challenge in the PH

MANILA: The Philippine-leg of the 2019 Subaru Palm Challenge has concluded. In what was a hard-fought battle, Reggie Purugganan won the contest with a timing of 8 hours, 14 minutes, and 50 seconds. Interestingly, the top 10 ten contestants of 2019 comprise of only 3 people who were a part of the group last year as well. Rheden Pinoliad and Mark Joseph Trinos, who both were a part of the top 10 in 2017 could not make it to the final list due to difficult weather conditions in which the challenge ensued.

Filipinos who have already been a part of the top 10 Philippine contestants in the past and have also made to this year's group include Filmark Bernante, Mark Guballa, and Carlo Talahib. Nikko Blancada fell short by just nine seconds to Reggie Purugganan as the latter grabbed the first position.

The Philippine team that consists of the top 10 players will battle with four hundred contestants from China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Cambodia, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, and Taiwan. The top ten Philippine contestants of the Philippine leg with their timings are as follows:
