SAIC Motor sells 2.053-M units in H1 2025
Performance reflects 12% rise YOY

In the Philippines, the firm sold 4,632 units.In a statement, SAIC Motor Philippines shared that with the aforementioned performance, its mother company enjoyed a 12.4-percent year-on- year growth in terms of global sales.
Last month alone, SAIC Motor retailed 365,000 vehicles worldwide — a 21.6 percent increase when compared to the same period last year. This, the firm noted, continued the sales growth streak to six months. “End-user retail deliveries also reached 2.207 million units, reinforcing a positive upward trend in both production and demand,” the firm added.
Propelling the sales growth for SAIC Motor is its “focus on innovation and reform is yielding measurable results”, thanks to its “new three-driving-force" strategy made up of self-owned brands, new energy vehicles (NEV), and overseas operations.
Sales of SAIC Motor’s self-owned brands grew to 1.304 million units in the first half — reflecting a 21.1-percent increase year-on-year, and accounted for 63.5 percent of the total volume.
Models under SAIC Motor’s NEV roster collectively sold 646,000 units — showing a 40.2-percent increase. Last month alone, NEV sales reached 121,000 units, which is 29.2 more percent more when compared to last year’s figures.
Relatedly, IM Motors (SAIC Motor's premium EV brand), rolled out more than 6,000 units in June — most coming from the LS6 and new L6 flagship models. On the other hand, SAIC’s passenger cars sold 16,000 NEVs (up 44 percent), with Maxus and SAIC-GM-Wuling also posting strong gains.

In the country, SAIC Motor Philippines is within the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Incorporated (CAMPI) and the Truck Manufacturers Association’s (TMA) Top 10 automotive distributors for June 2025.
As of last month, MG’s (Morris Garages) official distributor in the country sold 4,632 units — a 17.9-percent rise from the previous year’s sales volume.
