Subaru WRX wagon, sedan packaged with free limited-edition STI kit

MANILA: Motor Image Pilipinas Incorporated (MPI), the official local distributor of Subaru vehicles, is including a specially put-together limited-edition STI kit for each purchase of the WRX wagon or WRX sedan. 

According to MPI, the aforementioned kits are available for the first 14 purchasers of the WRX wagon and sedan models starting last week. 

To note, the STI kit for the two Subaru nameplates may come in either all black or a combination of black and red. 

Individual exterior components of the STI kits include the following:

• Door handle protectors
• Front under spoiler
• Rear side under spoiler
• Side under spoiler

Apart from the exterior STI parts, the kit also includes a special STI shift knob. 

Additionally, MPI is also offering several WRX-focused aftersales promos for the entirety of May. Here is a table detailing the aforementioned offers:

“The WRX has always had a special place in the hearts of every Subarist. To many, it is even considered as a ‘dream ride.’ Which is why we wish to make it a memorable experience for them as they drive one home,” MPI Country Manager Karl Castillo said. 

“This May, we are offering an STI parts and accessories package, without additional cost, to all our new WRX customers. Furthermore, new WRX STI buyers will have 20 percent discount offer on PMS parts for two years,” Castillo added.

In the Philippine market, both the WRX wagon and sedan versions are propelled by a 2.4-liter turbocharged boxer-four gasoline engine capable of producing up to 271 horsepower and 351 Newton-meters of torque. 

The aforementioned boxer mill is paired with the Japanese car maker’s continuously variable transmission, which is likewise equipped with eight simulated gears and a paddle shifter manual mode. 

Both cars also use all-wheel-drive systems, front and rear discs, and the Subaru EyeSight suite of advanced driver-assist systems.

Pricing for the Subaru WRX sedan ranges from P2.788 million-P3.168 million. The WRX wagon, meanwhile, has a price ranging from P2.888 million-P3.038 million.
