Suzuki PH sustains growth for Q3 2019

MANILA: 2019 has been a good year so far for Suzuki Philippines as it finishes the third-quarter with sales growth higher than predicted. The company is also optimistic that it will sustain its growth till the end of the fourth quarter of this year.

 
Suzuki Philippines reported a steady growth from January to September of this year. The first nine months showed a surge of 19 percent sales growth for the company compared to its performance on the prior year for the same period, and 6 percent compared to the same period in 2017.

 

The sales growth is driven by its best-selling cars like the Ertiga with a 33 percent share, Celerio that garnered 14 percent, and the Vitara that accounts for 12 percent of the total sales. The three aforementioned car models make up 59 percent of year-to-date total sales.

 

Suzuki Philippines is known to offer value-for-money motored vehicles. SPH Director and General Manager for Automobile Division Keiichi Suzuki shares that “Suzuki’s current standing in the Philippine automotive industry is a significant milestone for the brand. After securing the 4th spot in the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines Inc. (CAMPI) ranking the highest rank in the brand's history and climbing to the 5th spot in the local automotive industry roster last quarter, we at Suzuki Philippines can definitely say that 2019 has been a monumental year for the brand.”

 
Besides affordable vehicles, the SPH Director attributes the growth to the band’s marketing strategy that emphasizes on creating more touchpoints for customers through numerous promotions and interactive events. Such marketing moves also put the Suzuki brand closer to its consumers by boosting product visibility.
