There is an updated Nissan Almera for you, starting from Php 657,000

MANILA: While the likes of NV350, Terra, and Navara are already pushing the sales graphs up for Nissan, the Japanese automaker wants some more share in the sedan segment with the launch of a mildly updated Almera.

With the introduction of the updated Almera, Nissan is aiming at giving other brands in the markets a cutthroat competition by alluring the customers looking for a saloon to its showrooms across the country.

While the 2019 Nissan Almera does not boast any changes concerning its design, the sedan now comes with some new color options like Sapphire Blue Metallic, Iridium Metallic Brown, and Lunar Metallic Gray. The new color choices take the total options to seven.

The Sportech variant, however, still remains exclusive to Thailand. The steering wheel inside is still the old unit, and the D-shaped one which we have seen in the X-Trail has not made its way to Almera yet. The 2019 Nissan Almera price for different models is as follows:

• Almera 1.2L M/T - Php 657,000
• Almera 1.5 E M/T - Php 735,000
• Almera 1.5 E A/T - Php 824,000
• Almera 1.5 V A/T - Php 900,000
• Almera 1.5 VL A/T - Php 933,000

Something to celebrate is the new infotainment system which now includes a touchscreen. There are also two USB ports given for the convenience of the occupants. Automatic climate control and rear armrests are still exclusive to the range-topping models, along with leatherette seats and a rear blower fan.

The Nissan Almera specs still include a 1.2-litre three-cylinder mill that makes 79 PS and is mated to a five-speed manual transmission and a 1.5-litre four-cylinder engine producing 99 PS. The later gets both five-speed manual and four-speed automatic transmission options.
