Toyota Motor PH looking for top 3 candidates for GR eSports GT Championship Asia Finals

MANILA: The upcoming Toyota Gazoo Racing (GR) Philippines eSports GT Championship, which is scheduled to be held on-site at the Ayala Malls Manila Bay from October 11-12, will see its top three contestants represent the country at the Toyota GR eSports GT Championship Asia Finals leg to be held this year in Thailand. 

The said Finals Leg will see the future top three Philippine champions compete against some of the best sim racers in the ASEAN region. 

Additionally, the top three winners of the Philippine edition of the eSports sim racing contest will get to take home cash prizes and original GR merchandise. Plus, they will also be invited to participate in the Toyota GR Academy. 

For the unfamiliar, the Toyota GR Academy (formerly Toyota Racing School) offers aspiring individuals the necessary training and knowledge to become motorsport champions. And yes, it lets participants handle real cars on real-life tracks such as Clark International Speedway.

How to join Toyota GR PH eSports GT Championship

If the stakes are interesting for you, be aware that those who want to join the Toyota GR PH eSports GT Championship must be a permanent resident or citizen of the Philippines. Minors (17 years old and below) can join, but they must secure permission from their respective guardians first. 

Moreover, those entering the qualifiers, which are currently ongoing until September 14, can choose to make their qualifying runs offline or online. Those who opt to do it online must have access to a PlayStation 4 or 5 with an active PSN account, a PS Plus subscription, and a copy of Gran Turismo 7. 

After the qualifiers, only the top 40 racers will be picked for the quarterfinals. The quarterfinals will further narrow down the contestants to the top 20. As mentioned above, the quarterfinals and the semifinals will be held at Ayala Malls Manila Bay in Pasay City from October 11-12, 2025.
