Toyota Motor PH officially confirms bZ4X local launch

MANILA: Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) has confirmed the upcoming local launch of the bZ4X battery electric vehicle (BEV). It will be TMP’s first-ever all-electric nameplate and is part of the brand’s multi-pathway approach. 

This came after Zigwheels Philippines earlier reported about the model's homologation papers that the Land Transportation Office released. 

Additionally, TMP shared that it will enter the Philippine market this December 2025. Though no exact launch date has been indicated for now, Toyota’s local arm has disclosed that reservations for the all-new bZ4X began on November 7, 2025. TMP likewise stated that it will have a starting price of P2.699 million. 

“Our multi-pathway approach is all about giving customers multiple options. I hope more Filipinos can join us in our movement toward carbon neutrality with the all-new bZ4X,” TMP President Masando Hashimoto said.

Toyota bZ4X: specs

Interestingly, TMP’s website already includes the all-new bZ4X, and some of its Philippine market specs are already viewable by the public. 

For its powertrain, the bZ4X for the Philippine market will have two electric motors driving all four wheels. The aforementioned is paired with a lithium-ion battery that, according to its LTO papers, provides a range of 458 kilometers (km). 

Regarding outputs, the upcoming Toyota bZ4X can produce a total of 338 horsepower (hp). TMP hasn’t indicated its charging speed just yet, but in referring to its LTO papers again, the model is said to be capable of direct current fast charging. 

On the TMP website, the Toyota bZ4X is indicated to come with the following dimensions:

For its exterior, the Toyota bZ4X will be equipped with LED lighting fixtures, power-adjustable side mirrors with a camera, heating, and memory function, as well as a panoramic moon roof. 

Inside the upcoming BEV, meanwhile, is a five-seater layout equipped with the following features:

• Power-adjust front seats
• 60:40 split-folding rear seats
• Digital rearview mirror
• Front seat ventilation
• Push-to-start button
• Dual-zone automatic climate controls
• Seven-inch digital gauge
• Wireless smartphone charging pad 
• 14-inch infotainment with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto

Safety-wise, the model also has seven airbags, vehicle stability control, hill-start assist, downhill assist, panoramic view monitor, front and rear sonar, and safe exit assist. The aforementioned goes together with the Toyota Safety Sense suite of advanced driver-assist systems (ADAS).
