Toyota Motor PH showcases upcoming Urban Cruiser, next-gen RAV4 at 2026 TGR PH Cup
First-ever public preview of brand’s upcoming BEV model
MANILA: Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) has provided the first public preview of the upcoming Urban Cruiser at the recently concluded opening leg of the 2026 Toyota Gazoo Racing Philippines Cup (TGR PH Cup).

For now, however, Toyota’s local arm has yet to fully reveal its specifications, but some features and amenities have already been disclosed by the brand or gleaned from the car display itself.
Appearance-wise, the vehicle comes in a subcompact form factor much like its platform sibling - the Suzuki eVitara.
Unlike the Suzuki model, however, the Toyota Urban Cruiser employs a slightly more rounded front end with a tall lower front bumper combined with chunky-looking black plastic claddings.
Some notable exterior features of this upcoming battery electric vehicle (BEV) include power-folding/adjustable side mirrors, a moonroof, 18-inch wheels, and sharp-looking LED lighting fixtures.
Inside the model is a two-tone (black and brown) interior, with silver or piano-black plastic surfaces.
Dominating the cockpit is a 10.1-inch central infotainment display, seamlessly linked to a 10-inch digital gauge cluster. The model also comes with a JBL sound system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a maximum cargo capacity (rear seats folded) of around 570 liters.
Safety-wise, the model features a full suite of advanced driver-assist systems and a 360-degree view monitor.
Regarding the Toyota Urban Cruiser’s powertrain, TMP has yet to fully disclose what the Philippine-spec version is packing, but we now know that it uses a lithium-iron phosphate battery that can provide it with a range of 475 kilometers, according to the Fuel Consumption Test Protocol under United Nations Regulation No. 101.
For reference, the Toyota Urban Cruiser’s front-wheel-drive version in Europe can produce up to 174 horsepower (hp) and 193 Newton-meters of torque.

Next-gen Toyota RAV4
Apart from the Toyota Urban Cruiser, the first leg of the 2026 TGR PH Cup was likewise graced by the upcoming next-generation RAV4.
Again, no official specs were revealed, but we already know that it will start at P2.183 million for the ADV trim and P2.499 million for the LTD variant.
Per the Department of Energy (DOE), both trims will use a 2.5-liter gasoline engine paired with an electric motor. In Japan, the said setup can put out 183 hp from its internal combustion engine and an additional 134 hp from its electric motor.
Do note that both the Toyota Urban Cruiser and the next-generation Toyota RAV4 will be launched this month, so stay tuned. Early reservations for the Toyota Urban Cruiser, however, are already open and available from the brand's official website.
