Toyota Yaris L Sedan And Vios Hatch debuts in China

 The two most prominent models of Toyota’s lineup are now accompanied with their new versions. Yes, Toyota Yaris is now available in a sedan version named Yaris L and Vios is now ready with a hatchback avatar tagged as Vios FS hatch. But, these two new models are only restricted to Chinese market only for now.

Revealed at this year’s Guangzhou Motor Show, the Yaris L sedan will be available through Guangzhou Automobile Group Motor Co., Ltd. (GAC) Motor while Vios L hatchback is sold and assembled by FAW Toyota Motor.

The Yaris L sedan has a different front while the rear has shared some aspects of Vios sedan with LED taillights and refreshed rear bumper.

The Vios hatch, on the other hand, has a new T-shaped upper grille, wider lower grille, which is further integrated to the front fog lights. The LED daytime running lights accentuates the overall front in an effective manner. The rear of the Vios hatch is quite similar to most of the hatchbacks of ASEAN market and features LED units with slimmer indicators.

Considering the powertrain of these two cars, the Vios hatch is equipped with 1.3-litre Dual VVT-i engine which delivers 95 PS maximum power and Yaris L has a 1.5-litre unit with 107 PS power. Both these engines are mated to either a CVT or a 5-speed manual gearbox.
