VinFast mother company Vingroup now 37th in Fortune SE Asia 500

MANILA: Vingroup, the Vietnam-based mother company of electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer VinFast, has entered the top 40 rankings in the Fortune Southeast Asia 500. 

To be more specific, Vingroup is now the 37th largest company in Southeast Asia - an eight-place jump from its previous 45th position in Fortune’s 2024 ranking. The aforementioned, as the company says, signifies its well-cemented position in its home country, as well as its growing presence in other Southeast Asian territories, such as the Philippines. 

To put it into perspective, Fortune shared that Vingroup’s revenue now locks in at $7,547.8 million, or around P431 million at current exchange rates. The value of the conglomerate’s total assets also reached around $32.8 million (around P1.8 billion). 

Apart from running the VinFast EV manufacturing company, Vingroup also has operations in various sectors, including industrials and technology, real estate, social enterprises, and energy. 

Vingroup, however, did say that VinFast is a key highlight among its businesses. In Vietnam’s domestic car market, for instance, the company shared that its electric car brand has risen to the top position. It also has a “firm presence” in regions such as India, Indonesia, and the Philippines. 

With regard to the local market, VinFast has seen a steady stream of developments in 2025 alone. 

For starters, the car brand’s local arm has launched the all-new VF 6 compact crossover at this year’s Manila International Auto Show. As of this writing, the model retails at P1.419 million for the Eco trim and P1.61 million for the Plus variant. 

Some notable features of the VinFast VF 6 include the following:

• Leather upholstery
• Heads-up display
• Ventilated seats
• Eight airbags
• 480 kilometer range (Eco)
• Direct current fast charging
• 201 horsepower electric motor (Plus)

Additionally, VinFast Auto Philippines has accredited Bosch Car Service (BCS) as its new service partner in the local market. Via the aforementioned Service Level Agreement (SLA), BCS can now handle a variety of maintenance-related jobs for locally available VinFast nameplates.
