VinFast Q1 2026 global sales hit 58k-unit mark

MANILA: VinFast has delivered a total of 58,577 four-wheeled electric vehicles (EV) globally for the first quarter of 2026. This goes together with 143,136 e-scooter units and e-bikes delivered in the same period. 

The aforementioned first-quarter all-electric car sales figures for the Vietnamese brand represent a 61 percent increase over the same timeframe last year.

Its e-scooter and e-bike sales for Q1 2026, meanwhile, are said to represent a 219 percent increase over the first quarter of 2025. These also amount to a recorded revenue of roughly P54 billion at current exchange rates. 

With its sales figures for all-electric cars, the Vietnamese brand rose as the number one marque in the Philippines, number four in India, and number eight in Indonesia for BEV sales in the first quarter of the year.

“VinFast has entered a new phase focused on disciplined execution, long-term sustainability, and scalable growth. “We believe in the long-term global shift toward electrification, supported by increasing focus on energy security and operating efficiency, continues to create meaningful opportunities for VinFast across our core markets,” Pham added. 

VinFast: PH updates

In the local setting, VinFast has seen plenty of recent developments, the biggest of which is its maiden appearance at the Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS). For the 2026 edition of PIMS, the brand’s local arm introduced Green GSM’s RentaPasada program, which enables one to rent a VinFast EV and use the car to earn income as a transport provider. 

Earlier in the year, the brand also launched the VF MPV 7 - a cushier version of the Limo Green seven-seater multi-purpose vehicle (MPV). 

In May 2026, VinFast also opened its new dealership in Cebu South Il Corso. The aforementioned has expanded the company’s reach in Visayas and is said to be an important step toward growing its network outside the National Capital Region.
