GAC, Changan, Hyundai 

GAC Motor Philippines is celebrating its sales milestone of selling more than 3,000 units since 2023 by rolling out promos for its offerings.

Upcoming models 

This week, several carmakers have announced their upcoming contenders. 

First was Jetour Auto Philippines with the X70 Lightning i-DM. According to the Chery-owned brand, it is a plug-in hybrid seven-seater, which will be priced like a five-seater.

Tesla also teased the arrival of the Model Y next week. The electric mid-size sport utility vehicle will have a price tag that ranges from P2.369-P2.689 million.

Finally, BYD Cars Philippines expressed its readiness to introduce the Shark DMO hybrid pickup truck. No price has been officially announced yet, but reports show that numerous agents have already offered the vehicle at P2.4-P2.7 million.

Double debut

Omoda, Jaecoo finally makes official PH debut 

Finally, Omoda and Jaecoo have made their official Philippine market debut. 

During the event, the two companies have revealed their offerings. Here are the models, and their respective price tags: 

• Omoda C5 Lifestyle: P998,000
• Omoda C5 Comfort: P1.159 million
• Omoda C5 Luxury: P1.279 million
• Omoda E5: P1.699 million 
• Jaecoo EJ6 RWD: P1.649 million 
• Jaecoo EJ6 AWD: P1.799 million

BMW PH offers limited 520i

BMW Philippines brought in the limited-edition 520i. Those interested in seeing it in the metal can check out the display this weekend at RSA Motors in South Court, Power Plant Mall.

Global buzz 

High horology 

Aston Martin has teamed up with Girard-Perregaux to make a timepiece that is made out of Grade Five titanium. 

With a look similar to the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak, it offers multiple complications, an automatic movement, a decent case size of 42 millimeters, and a water resistance of 100 meters.

New oil player 

Aramco has signed an agreement with Unioil where the former will purchase 25 percent of the former. This will allow the Middle Eastern brand to penetrate the Philippine oil market.
