Geely Motor PH reveals starting price for upcoming EX5 EV

MANILA: Geely Motor Philippines (GMP), now under the management of Geely Automotive International Corporation, has officially revealed the starting price of the upcoming EX5 all-electric crossover.

As shared by the car maker’s local arm via a social media post, the crossover will start at P1.79 million. Additionally, the company also shared the terms and conditions of the model’s ongoing reservation period. 

Here are the terms and conditions for the Geely EX5 reservation period, as posted by GMP:

• Pay P10,000 reservation free for up to P110,000 discount
• Full P10,000 refund applies for cancelled reservations
• Promo runs from February 13 to March 31, 2025
• Units to be released from April to May 2025
• Reservation valid until served by GMP
• Multiple reservations are permitted, but each applies to only one unit purchase
• Reservation discount is non-transferable
• Reservation discount cannot be combined with other promos

For the unaware, the Geely EX5 was showcased at GMP’s grand brand launch a week ago. It was revealed alongside the refreshed Coolray and Emgrand, and it sports the brand’s new rectangular six-window logo. 

Propelling the EX5 is an 11-in-1 electric motor capable of producing up to 215 horsepower and 320 Newton-meters of torque. Thanks to its output figures, the upcoming Geely EV can sprint from zero to 100 kilometers per hour in just 6.9 seconds. 

Additionally, the model comes with a 60.22-kilowatt-hour lithium iron phosphate battery, as well as a range of up to 495 kilometers (based on New European Driving Cycle Standards). The model also boasts the following features: 

• 16 advanced driver-assist systems
• 10.2-inch instrument cluster
• 15.6-inch infotainment system
• Voice commands
• Low drag coefficient of 0.269 Cd
• Flat folding seats
• Leather upholstery
