MANILA: Honda Philippines Incorporated (HPI) staged the Honda Pilipinas Dream Cup (HPDC) tryout last month to find young talents and give them the chance to become professional motorcycle racers.

  • Held at the Carmona Racing Circuit, the HPDC saw a total of 18 aspiring riders duke it out atop the saddle of CBR150R converted race bikes. 

    According to HPI, 12 riders were selected after the thorough, strict deliberation and assessment of Shigeki Honda, the Founder of HARC-PRO and Coach Charles Nolasco, a retired PSBK (Philippine Super Bike) rider and experienced racing coach.

    • Mark Dustine Oliveros 
    • Carlsen Jacob Solis 

    Next year, the selected riders will compete and prove themselves worthy to become a champion that could further improve and step up to achieve their dreams in racing. This “Road to Champion” campaign is intended to develop young riders and to bring them into the International Racing scene.

    “The Honda Pilipinas Dream Cup is an opportunity to showcase individual skills and a chance to foster camaraderie and sportsmanship among young riders. It is a platform where dreams are nurtured, and aspirations take flight,” said HPI President Sayaka Arai.
