Kawasaki treat for 2017: New Z1000 R Edition revealed

MANILA: The Japanese bike manufacturer has just revealed the ‘R Edition’ version of its thrilling naked street bruiser, Z1000. The latest edition is revealed as a 2017 model and is fully Euro4 compliant without negotiating on the power and torque front, as claimed by the manufacturer. The 2017 Edition has received some superbike-level trinkets  to spice it up a little more. To name a few are a set of Brembo 310mm floating disc brakes with lateral grooves for efficient heat dissipation. They are further gripped by a pair of flat Brembo M50 monobloc calipers.

The ECU has been also revised to deliver a smooth power curve, and in the instrument panel, the gear position indicator is added with adjustable shift light rev counter that displays when the preset rpm limit is reached. The R Edition will be offered in Metallic Graphite Grey, and Metallic Spark black color options with a ‘special graphic package’ and the seat is also embossed with Z logo that further highlights the special edition characteristics. Along with the Z Edition, the standard Z1000 will be also available and will be offered in the Metallic Spark Black, Golden Blazed Green, Candy Burnt Orange, and Flat Ebony color options.

The pricing is yet to be revealed by Kawasaki and it is expected that it will be out between November 19-27. There are no signs of Kawasaki Z1000 R coming to the Philippines yet but, we might expect it as a surprise baggage from the Kawasaki.
