Should Honda bring over this road-trail bike?

MANILA: After getting rave reviews during its debut at the 46th Tokyo Motor Show, Honda has decided to include the 2021 Trail 125 ABS to its global lineup of motorcycles.

It combines practical design and easy-to-use technology while also using a throwback design to fulfill modern mobility needs of casual riding in rural settings and trips along two-track roads and trails.

To give it enhanced on- and off-road performance, it uses a strengthened C125 chassis; suspension travel has been increased, and fuel range improved.

It still uses the same 125cc four-stroke, single-cylinder overhead-camshaft design operating two valves, but with a high-mounted air intake and upswept exhaust that enhance low-end and midrange power.

Like the Super Cub, the Trail 125 uses a four-speed semiautomatic transmission. The engine guard adds protection from obstacles like large rocks and tree stumps.

It comes with a full-LED lighting package, a complete multi-function digital instrument (digital display features a speedometer, odometer, A&B trip meters, fuel gauge, clock, and indicator for low/high beam), cargo rack, standard ABS (anti-lock braking system), and 17-inch wheels.

Curb weight is 295 pounds, including a full 5.2 liters of fuel in the underseat tank.
