Suzuki PH expands trail-ready lineup with DR160, V-Strom 160 launch

MANILA Suzuki Philippines Incorporated (SPH) has expanded its trail-ready roster with the introduction of DR160 and V-Strom 160.

Formally unveiled at the ongoing Makina Moto Expo 2026, the two rugged motorcycles are expected to offer the “perfect fusion of aggressive style, high-performance torque, and the fuel efficiency needed for every journey.”

Here’s what customers can get from these two models.

Motorcycle specifications

Both models are equipped with four-stroke, two-valve, single overhead cam, fuel-inject, air-cooled, 162-cubic-centimeter engines mated to a five-speed manual transmission. Despite their similarities, the Suzuki V-Strom 160 offers higher power but the DR160 dishes out more oomph.

Fuel efficiency-wise, the entry-level adventure motorcycle can do 50 kilometers per liter (kpl) while the dirt motorcycle can achieve 48.8 kpl.

Both also share the following suspension and braking systems:

Suspensions	Front: Oil damped, telescopic Rear: Oil damped, swing arm
Brakes	Front and rear: Single discs

In terms of aesthetics, the Suzuki V-Strom 160 sports a beak (a nod to the V-Strom line, albeit shorter compared to its stablemates), dual headlights, a rectangular taillamp, 17-inch mag wheels and a 13.2-liter tank.

On the other hand, the Suzuki DR160 is equipped with a longer fender, a futuristic head- and tail lamp design, flexible turn signals, spoked wheels (19-inch for the front and 17-inch at the back) and a 12.22-liter tank. 

Lastly, the Suzuki V-Strom and DR 160 can be had at the following prices and color options

The price tags are packaged with a three-year or 30,000-km warranty.
