One of the most recent motorcycle launches is the rollout of the Suzuki Access, a retro-inspired small-displacement motorcycle competing with the likes of the Yamaha Mio Fazzio and Honda Giorno+.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • What are the three colors of the Suzuki Access?

The colors of the motorcycle are Solid Ice Green, Pearl Grace White, and Metallic Matte Black.
  • How much does it cost?

The Suzuki Access is priced at P84,900.
  • Since its release, many enthusiasts have considered bringing one home since it is touted as a practical daily driver with smart features — on top of its classy looks, of course.

To help those eyeing the city scooter make a more informed choice, we will talk about its three available colors, which also happen to represent some of its key features.

    Solid Ice Green

Considered as the poster color of the Suzuki Access, Solid Ice Green looks both hip and modern. As such, it is a great opportunity to discuss its newest technologies, starting with its integrated engine start and kill switch button.

According to Suzuki Philippines Incorporated, the said feature allows a one-push switch to start the engine and perform essential functions of cutting off the mill’s power supply. It also noted that it serves as a safety feature and a convenient means to deactivate and reactivate the motorcycle.

Since we are on the topic of starting up the motorcycle, the Suzuki Access has an easy start system, which allows the powerplant to get started without having to hold it down like conventional scooters.

Likewise, the Suzuki Access’ side stand interlock system prevents the engine from starting up when the stand is down. This — similar to the integrated engine start and kill switch button — gives the rider greater reassurance by protecting against unintended starts when the stand is extended.

Other modern appointments donned by the bike include the following:

    • Concealed tail-mounted fuel cap
    • Dual front utility pockets
    • Front USB charging port for devices
    • LED lighting
    • New iconic position lamp

    Other stories:

    Pearl Grace White

As the color suggests, the said hue makes the Suzuki Access look elegant. Befitting the palette, the scooter sports retro looks with key design points such as its squared headlamp, diamond-shaped turn signals, circular side mirrors, and fairings that pay homage to vintage city motorcycles.

It’s also worth noting that no matter the color chosen by motorcycle buyers, the Suzuki Access will always have a brown saddle with faux leather upholstery. A pair of brown rubber grips on the handlebars would have made the design choice more cohesive, but the motorcycle only comes with black ones.

At the back, the Suzuki Access gets a blocky taillamp and signal lights that are also shaped like a diamond. Here, the aforementioned rear-mounted fuel cap can be found underneath the brushed silver grab bar.

Overall, the motorcycle looks the part. It would feel at home on major city streets, where commuting on two wheels will get one faster to his or her destination due to heavy traffic — especially during the holidays.

    Metallic Matte Black

Black has always represented power, and the Suzuki Access has a solid powerplant that can take riders from point A to point B without any issues.

At the heart of the city scooter is a 124-cubic-centimeter engine mated to a continuously variable transmission. The said setup makes 8.3 horses and 10.2 Newton-meters of pulling power.

Per Suzuki Philippines Incorporated, the motorbike clocks in at 57.3 kilometers per liter, thanks to the Suzuki Eco Performance technology of the fuel-injected engine.

Stopping power comes from a disc brake at the fore and a drum brake at the rear. Suspension-wise, it uses a telescopic front fork and a swing arm-type shock absorber at the back.

    Pricing

The Suzuki Access is priced at P84,900.
