Fit, finish
The new Suzuki Burgman Street improves its sharp yet elegant lines to create a refined and modern appearance.
Its front fascia now looks more tapered with the headlamp clustered tightly on the fore. It gets two turn signals that are neatly tucked on the front fairings for a more put-together appearance.

Retained are its TE37-like wheels wrapped in highway tires. The reflectors are positioned on the inner panels, just right above the housing of the front forks.
Those familiar with the model will be happy to see that it still gets brown appliques, which are found on the inner fairings, floor board, handlebar housing, and, of course, the saddle.
Some round panels can be seen on the side profile of the motorcycle. There is also a pair of metal foot pegs that are well hidden inside pockets where they recede.
The contours are broken by the shapely muffler cover, and the tapered claddings that lead to its taillight and rear grab bar.
According to Suzuki Motorcycle India Private Limited, the new Burgman Street’s frame has also been updated, achieving a weight reduction of approximately 500 grams and a 25 percent improvement in torsional rigidity.
These enhancements — it pointed out — improve straight-line stability and handling performance, delivering a nimble ride.
Tech, other features
The new Suzuki Burgman Street has a color thin-film transistor instrument display with smartphone connectivity — like many of its rivals.

Is PH next?
With the new Suzuki Burgman announced in India with a release date set this month, it is only a matter of time for the motorcycle to reach Philippine shores.
Although Suzuki Philippines Incorporated has made no announcements yet, the motorcycle could make an appearance at the upcoming Makina motor show if the company’s Philippine wing wants to bring it here.
