Suzuki PH to field e-Access soon?

MANILA: Suzuki Philippines Incorporated (SPH) will soon join the electrified motorcycle market, and we strongly believe it will be the battery electric version of the Access.

Although not confirming the nameplate, SPH Managing Director and concurrent Motorcycle Division Sales and Marketing Head Norminio Mojica confirmed the company’s plan to bring in an electrified two-wheeler. 

He also did not share any timeline for the arrival of SPH’s first-ever electrified model.

Overseas specs 

So while waiting, here are some of the notable details of the e-Access—which is likely the Suzuki motorcycle that will be fielded in the local electric motorcycle arena.

Produced in India since early 2025, the e-Access is Suzuki's first global strategic BEV motorcycle. 

Its motor gets its energy from a fixed-type lithium iron-phosphate battery.

Aside from that, the Suzuki e-Access features the following:

• Three driving modes
• Regenerative brake system
• Reverse mode
• 17-liter underseat storage
• Keyless system
• Digital gauge cluster with smart phone connectivity
• Battery overcharging prevention system
• Drive belt with auto-tensioner to reduce maintenance.
