Suzuki PH unveils Burgman 15

MANILA: Suzuki Philippines Incorporated (SPH) has further expanded its motorcycle lineup with the launch of the Burgman 15.

Dubbed the “Intelligent Luxury,” the newest maxi-scooter—slotted in between the entry-level Burgman Street and the Burgman 400—was formally introduced in the country following the string of teasers posted over social media since last week.

Per SPH, the Philippines is the first in the ASEAN market to carry the Burgman 15.

A product of the partnership between the Japanese marque and Haojue, the two-wheeler will directly compete against the Honda PCX 160 and Yamaha Nmax 155.

The motorcycle wears a distinct fascia wherein the high beam/passing light was placed in between the low-beam headlamps, a central spine running between the rider’s legs and a pair of 14-inch alloy wheels.

Powering the Burgman 15 is the four-stroke, single cylinder, single overhead cam, two-valve, 149 cubic-centimeter gasoline-fed engine with direct inject system mated to an automatic transmission. This mill can deliver the following the following number:

Maximum output (in horsepower)	14.21
Peak torque (in Newton-meters)	14.2

This allows the motorcycle to do 43.6 kilometers per liter consumption (based on the World Motorcycle Test Cycle).
