The first batch of 2018 Yamaha Mio Aerox S released

MANILA: Yamaha Philippines released the first batch of the recently launched 2018 Mio Aerox S during the 3rd Arangkada Motorsiklo Festival which was celebrated by Caloocan City on 29-30th Sept 2018. Yamaha had its pavilion set up at the event with the title ‘Yamaha Beyond Unstoppable’.

After launching the all-new 2018 Mio Aerox S in the country, Yamaha opened up the online booking for the same. This allowed the interested buyers to book themselves the scooter via the reservation website. The booking procedure required the buyers to fill out their details on this website and in return, they will get a booking or reservation code. They will later be contacted by Yamaha personnel for verification, and finally, they can pick up their scooter from Yamaha's exhibition area at the Arangkada festival.

The Mio Aerox S is quite a popular scooter in the Philippines therefore, all of its 155 units of the first batch were sold instantly. The 2018 model is the latest addition in the Mio family. Yamaha has included a few new features to keep things interesting.

The 2018 Yamaha Mio Aerox S specs reveal that it gets an exclusive Stop and Start System that is designed to automatically turn off the engine when the scooter is idling for five seconds. This not only increases the fuel efficiency of the scooter but also reduces the harmful emissions. Yamaha has also enhanced the safety features on the newest model by providing it with the much awaited and much needed Anti-lock Braking System (ABS). Although, it’s only a single channel unit, it’s better than having nothing. Other interesting features of the new model include Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) and a Smart Key System for Keyless ignition. As far as the 2018 Yamaha Mio Aerox S colours are concerned, there will two of them - Matte Blue and White.

Powering the 2018 Mio Aerox S is a 155 cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that has got 14.88 bhp of max power that is produced at 8,000 revs. The peak torque of 13.8 Nm is generated at 6,250 revs. The engine is based on Yamaha’s Blue Core technology which provides optimum combustion, improves cooling efficiency, and reduces power losses. The 2018 Mio Aerox S price has been set at Php 122,900.
