It took around fifteen days for me to understand the Toyota Corolla Altis' natural driving characteristics. After getting a good touch, in normal city traffic, I could get 11 to 12 kmpl, and in bumper-to-bumper city traffic, 9 to 10 with full five adult occupants. When I drive this vehicle on highways, I get around 13- 14 kmpl with my 4-year-old kid + full five adult occupants and 50% luggage loaded in the boot. Both the highway and city driving were with % AC ON, and my driving speed was around 70 kmph. For my driving style, the highway mileage was more than 15 kmpl. This car is meant only for the highway and not for city driving.
