After launching the all-new sixth-generation Nissan Patrol here in the Philippines, Nissan continued to sell the fifth-generation model of the Patrol, by rechristening it as Patrol Super Safari. This was then positioned below the all-new model, which was here launched as Patrol Royale.

The Nissan Patrol Super Safari, like before, continued to impress the off-road purists with its immensely capable four-wheel-drive system and durable chassis and suspensions setup. The Nissan Patrol Super Safari was made available in the Philippines car marker in a single fully loaded variant – the Nissan Patrol Super Safari 3.0L Turbo.

In this single variant, the Nissan Patrol Super Safari had a 3.0-litre inline-four diesel engine coupled to a 5-speed automatic gearbox. The engine is quite humble by current standards, and in the Patrol Super Safari, it made power and torque outputs of 150 PS and 343 Nm respectively.
