Great Wall Motor (GWM) has updated the Cannon pickup truck in the Philippines sometime in April. 

Now only offered with a four-wheel drivetrain complemented by better exterior and interior appointments, the Chinese carmaker’s local wing looks to highlight its capabilities and the technologies that allowed the nameplate to conquer half its segment, domestically. 

That said, we will take a look at the GWM Cannon’s five available colors and some of the features that represent each hue, to help car buyers who are eyeing the pickup truck. 

Midnight Black 

In Midnight Black, the GWM Cannon looks extra sporty. The pitch black paintwork blends well with the blacked-out claddings on the pickup truck while providing contrast between the matte and shiny finishes offered by the two dark surfaces. 

The said plastic coverings can be found on the vehicle’s grille, lower front bumper, wheel arches, and the step bar on the rear. It’s also worth noting that the GWM Cannon — based on the model the company presented at the 2025 Manila International Auto Show — has black side mirrors, door handles, running boards, sport bars, and a set of black wheels, which basically gives it a cohesive dark aesthetic. 

Pittsburg Silver 

Silver is a color that is usually associated with technology, and the GWM Cannon is a vehicle that comes with a decent amount of automotive tech. 

Past the pickup truck’s multi-functional steering wheel is a seven-inch color instrument cluster that is able to display relevant driving information. Likewise, it gets a 12.3-inch multi-touch infotainment screen with wired Apple Carplay and Android Auto connectivity. 

Audio played from the system is directed to six speakers inside the cabin. 

The GWM Cannon is also equipped with a voice assistant. The company’s literature notes that on the said multi-functional steering wheel is a button to activate or access the “Hey GWM” voice command feature. 

Atlantis Blue 

Blue is a color that represents calm and serenity. And to ensure the driver and the passengers will have peace of mind while on the road, the GWM Cannon is equipped with a robust list of standard safety features, such as the following:

• Anti-lock braking 
• Brake assist 
• Electronic stability control 
• Hill descent control 
• Hill-start assist control 
• Roll movement intervention 
• Traction control system 
• Tire pressure monitoring system
• 360-degree-view camera
• Parking sensors 
• Overspeeding alarm 
• Automatic fuel cut-off function

Scarlet Red 

Red is also a color that can relate to the power of the GWM Cannon as its updated powertrain can provide would-be owners with a more spirited experience. That said, its 2.4-liter turbocharged diesel engine mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission can generate the following numbers: 

Maximum power output (in horsepower)	181
Maximum torque (in Newton-meters)	480

 

The GWM Cannon is also fitted with an intelligent four-wheel drivetrain with torque on demand, which further improves the pickup truck’s capabilities. 

Compared to its predecessor, the new GWM Cannon is able to produce 12 percent more power and 20 percent more torque. 

Iceberg White 

White will relate to the GWM Cannon’s advanced driver assist systems, as the color represents safety among other traits. 

Its smart driving features include the following:

• Intelligent cruise assistance

The GWM Cannon’s colors will appeal to a wide variety of car buyers, from those wanting a dependable workhorse to those looking for an affordable lifestyle truck.
