2023 Ford Territory arrives in Vietnam, will it come to PH next?

MANILA: The 2023 Ford Territory has made its ASEAN debut after being launched in Vietnam.

The 2023 Territory features Ford’s global DNA design philosophy, resulting in a stylish, modern SUV loaded with smart all-in-one features.

The 2023 Territory’s front end has a very striking design that emphasizes its sporty and contemporary appearance. The front grille features honeycomb meshes along with the brand logo, helping stimulate a creative spirit. The LED headlight cluster draws attention while also improving visibility.

On the rear end, the word “Territory” extends between the 3D LED taillights, adding a sense of grandeur that draws on Ford’s global DNA design philosophy.

The 19-inch alloy wheels enhance the Territory’s overall robust and luxurious image.

The interior of the 2023 Territory continues to adhere to Ford’s global DNA design philosophy, with soft, delicate curves accentuating the spaciousness and elegance.

The D-shaped steering wheel and two 12-inch high-resolution color screens on the dashboard give the Territory a modern look. The Territory’s infotainment system can be connected to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, allowing the driver to access smartphone apps that can make traveling more convenient.

The electronic gear lever, storage space, and front armrest make the interior more comfortable and convenient for the passengers.

The Territory’s plush leather seats and dual-zone automatic climate control with integrated cooling function also give passengers a sense of comfort. The Territory also comes with a panoramic sunroof, a hands-free smart tailgate, and engine start/stop button with auto stop-start technology, and four driving modes (Normal, Eco, Sport, and Mountain).

The 2023 Territory is powered by a 1.5-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder engine that produces 170ps and 260Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.

The 2023 Territory also comes standard with advanced driver assistance systems such as lane departure warning, intelligent automatic emergency braking, blind spot warning, and adaptive cruise control with stop/go function. Other safety features include electronic stability control, traction control, automatic parking assist, and a 360-degree camera system.

The Vietnam-spec 2023 Territory will be produced at Ford’s factory in Hai Duong, Vietnam.

According to Ford Vietnam, pricing for the 2023 Territory starts at 822 million Vietnamese dongs (approximately P2 million).

Ford Territory was introduced in the Philippines in 2020 with two variants: Trend and Titanium+.

In the first half of 2022, Ford Philippines delivered 3,691 Territory units, 11% higher versus the same period last year. The Territory has a 52% market share in the small SUV segment.

Last June, the Territory achieved its best retail month performance, delivering 1,574 units. Earlier this year, the Territory reached its 10,000th sales milestone.

The current Territory is best known for its commanding presence, outstanding performance, fuel efficiency, and smart technologies. Territory owners get to enjoy lower service maintenance costs with a once-a-year scheduled service interval.

Ford Territory Club Philippines, a group of Filipino Territory owners and enthusiasts, has now over 22,000 members. According to a poll conducted by the group, Territory owners are impressed by the SUV’s panoramic sunroof, 360-degree around view monitor, blind spot information system, 10-inch infotainment system, and Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.

Every purchase of the Territory comes with a free three-year scheduled service plan (SSP), ensuring a worry-free ownership experience.

With the current Territory being Ford’s best-selling model in the Philippines, will the 2023 iteration repeat this success if ever it becomes available in the country?
