MANILA: The 2024 Mazda 3 has arrived in the Philippines, featuring new connectivity and safety technologies.

The 2024 Mazda 3 is equipped with a larger Mazda Connect infotainment screen, which now measures 10.25 inches. It also comes with Wireless Apple Carplay, USB-C ports, and a wireless charger. The side mirrors on the updated model also automatically fold back when the car is locked for further convenience.

Aside from these upgrades, the new Mazda 3 still comes with a 12-speaker Bose sound system, dual-zone climate control with rear vents, electric sunroof, and head-up display.

The cabin features a minimalist yet ergonomic design and is made of premium materials. New chrome accents are added on the start/stop button ring, steering wheel horn pad, and glove box handle.

New colors also upgrade the look of the 18-inch alloy wheels — the Mazda 3 Sport Sedan features a Bright Silver finish, while the Mazda 3 Sport Fastback adopts a Black Metallic finish. The 2024 Mazda 3 is available in seven exterior paint options: Soul Red Crystal, Machine Gray, Platinum Quartz, Snowflake White Pearl, Polymetal Gray, Deep Crystal Blue, and Jet Black.

The LED headlights of the Mazda 3 Sport now come with an adaptive front-lighting system (AFS), which adjusts the light distribution depending on the driving condition. AFS directs the headlights in the driver’s intended direction based on the vehicle speed and steering input.

Other exterior upgrades on the 2024 Mazda 3 Sport include LED daytime running lights and LED signature rear illumination. It also comes with additional safety features such as blind spot monitoring and rear cross traffic alert.

Under the hood of the Mazda 3 Sport is a 2.0-liter Skyactiv-G engine that produces 155 horsepower and 200 Newton-meters of torque. It is paired to a six-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters, cruise control, and Sport mode.

The Mazda 3 HEV, on the other hand, is powered by a 2.0-liter e-Skyactiv-G which combines the engine with a compact integrated electric motor and a lithium-ion battery.

More safety features are added in the 2024 Mazda 3 HEV, including front cross traffic alert, front cross brake support, rear cross brake support, and driver monitoring system.

It also comes with seven-airbags, a 360-degree camera, parking sensors on all corners, and the standard i-Activsense features such as front and rear smart brake support, lane departure warning with lane keep assist, cruising and traffic support, and high beam control.

The 2024 Mazda 3 is available in four variants at the following prices:

• 2.0 Sport Sedan - P1.51 million
• 2.0 Sport Fastback - P1.51 million
• 2.0 HEV Sedan - P1.79 million
• 2.0 HEV Fastback - P1.79 million
