Aston Martin DB11 Officially Launched @ 2016 Geneva Motor Show

MANILA: The British luxury car manufacturer has astonished everyone at the ongoing 2016 Geneva Motor Show. Aston Martin has come-up with an all-new stunning and luxurious sports car, DB11. As per the company, this is the first product introduced underneath the “Second Century” plan. With the unveiling of this luxurious sports car, the firm has initiated an entirely new chapter of designing and producing lighter, stronger and more efficient sports car, carrying a “DB” bloodline and following the Aston Martin tradition. The showcased model at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show can be seen with ultra-modern architecture carrying distinctive and compelling design language.

Underneath the bonnet, there lies an in-house built power-plant which comprises of a dominant 5.2L twin-turbocharged V12 engine. The power is transmitted to the rear wheel with the help of 8-speed automatic ZF transmission that also allows the driver to select the desired driving modes: GT, sport and sport plus. The finely-tuned 5.2L twin-turbocharged engine is capable to generate a maximum power of 600 hp and achieves a peak torque of 700 Nm. The in-house designed power-plant lets you achieve a top speed of 322 kmph and sprint 0-100 kmph in just 3.9 seconds.

Above all, as we all know that electric cars are slowly gaining popularity in the Philippines market. So, alongside this luxurious sports car, the British automotive manufacturer is also paying attention towards introducing Aston Martin electric cars. The firm has already made an announcement revealing the concept of an all-electric sports car. Announced in the month of August 2015, it will be going out for an official launch by the year 2017. Moreover, an Aston Martin RapidE, featuring an all-wheel electric drive is also on the charts for launch, but it will be taking an average period of two years for it to get into production line.

A brand new bonded aluminium platform, clever aerodynamics, a new characterful twin-turbo V12 and class-leading infotainment systems are just a few aspects which make this the sports car that will proudly spearhead Aston Martin’s second century plan.”

The British automaker is well-known for its enhanced driving experience it offers on-board. As far as this new launch is concerned, the firm has fitted new electric power steering and Torque Vectoring that results in comfort ride and provides true sports car agility. The newly launched Audi luxurious sports car features all the signature designs acquire by all its previous models. It comprises of distinctive headlamps, accentuated lines on grille and front-hinging clamshell bonnet.

Aston Martin DB11 is scheduled for deliveries by the beginning of the fourth quarter of 2016. The prices are out for the UK, US and Germany fanatics. We are hoping to see it sometime soon in the Philippines market as well.
