BAIC opens inaugural dealership in PH

MANILA: BAIC (Beijing Automotive Group Company) Philippines has opened its first-ever dealership in the country.

Owned and managed by Automotive Icon Incorporated, the brand’s inaugural dealership is located at Block 42 Filinvest Corporate City — within the central business district in Alabang-Zapote Road, Muntinlupa.

Spearheading the inauguration rites last June 20 were United Asia Automotive Group Incorporated (UAAGI) — the official distributor of BAIC in the Philippines — Chairman Rommel Sytin and his counterpart in Auto Icon, Dexter Co.

The said facility comes with a 250-square-meter showroom that can display five vehicles, a fully equipped service center, and a dedicated team of experts to provide top-notch technical support.

BAIC Alabang is open 8:30 a.m.-7 p.m. on Mondays-Saturdays,  and 9 a.m.-6 p.m. during Sundays and holidays.

“Filinvest City’s vibrant community will now have the opportunity to experience BAIC firsthand and discover this new contender in one of the fastest growing car segments in the country. Aside from boldly designed and versatile vehicles, clients are also in for a first-class customer experience that highlights the brand’s innovative approach to automotive excellence,” UAAGI Group Managing Director Froilan Dytianquin said.

Currently, BAIC Philippines initial roster is made up of the X55 Verve and X7 Grandeza crossovers, B40 Ragnar (Diesel), B60 Beaumont (Diesel Hybrid) sport utility vehicles, and the B80 Wagon. The said vehicles are packaged with a 150,000-kilometer or five-year vehicle warranty (whichever comes first).

Per UAAGI, the opening of BAIC Alabang “marks the beginning of an expansive growth strategy of the brand in the Philippines.” The multi-brand firm shared its plan to establish eight more dealerships within 2024.
